One More Time

January 16

Today we left our hotel by the base for a swank apartment in the city. Our friends, Sayo and Toshi, helped us find a really nice place to live in while we are here. We now have more room, a kitchen, and bigger and better bathroom, a washing machine, and a large flat screen HD TV. All very nice for a place you will be in for four months. And it is in a great location, near one of the biggest train stations in Japan (connecting us to almost anywhere we want to go), right on the water, close to parks, shopping, food and entertainment.
Moving from Yokosuka to Yokohama was almost as fun as coming from Seattle to Japan. I couldn't have done it without Jill. She packed all our things, carried them from the "Annex" to the actual hotel, took the train to Yokohama with most of our things, came back and met up with me, and helped me take the rest of our things. And now, WE ARE DONE MOVING BAGS AROUND!!!
It feels good to be in a place we know we will be in for more than a few days. Now it is time to explore!
