Rock and Roll

Once again I had to work on Saturday. But the day was not totally lost. I got off early and took a train to northern Yokohama to meet up with Jill, Sayo, and Toshi (our Japanese friends). Toshi is in two bands and one of them, "Pickles", was practicing that day. We sat and listened to them play for a while and made a little music of our own. Later that evening we met up again and went to a concert at a cafe south of Yokohama. The place was small but really nice. Sayo and Toshi introduced us to some more of their friends and we saw people we had met the last time we were here. We had a lot of fun listening to really good music, having a few drinks, and laughing. Lucky for us most of the people we met spoke some English and three of them spoke really good English. Sayo has made our time here SO much better than it could have been. She found us a great place to live and has introduced us to really nice people. She has also helped us anytime we needed something that we could not find or when we just needed a translator.
We hope to see all of our new friends again soon.
